Production

The aim of the department is to ensure the quality and safety of the produced food, always in accordance with the current Greek and European legislation.

Our company focuses its activities on the best possible utilization of the latest equipment and advanced technology, for the continuous improvement of our products and production processes.

Since 1999, our company has developed a traceability system, which meets all the requirements of legislation and sustainability. Through a combination of paper and electronic records, as well as electronic warehouse tracking systems using barcodes, we ensure full traceability at the level of raw materials, internal handling, intermediate products and processes followed, as well as the disposal of finished products.

The information accompanying each of our products allows full access to all important production parameters from our departments. In addition to control, great importance is also attached to prevention. Consequently, every year, information and training programs are drawn up for the staff of our quality managers to keep them up to date with the latest developments.

Emphasis on catches, choice of fishing area & fishing gear

Our catches come from selected fishing areas, always in search of the best raw material in terms of quality and sufficiency. For this reason, our company maintains and builds long-term strategic partnerships with fishing vessels, and maintains its own offices in international fishing locations, as well as production sites (e.g. India)

Along with imports, special emphasis is placed on catches from Greek seas (mainly anchovies, sardines), but also from Greek fish farms (mainly sea bream, sea bass), which we supply directly after their extraction in primary form and we undertake their processing, and freezing in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Emphasis on Meat

After decades of presence in the field of frozen fish and their production in our own facilities, in April 2022, Vassiliou Trofinko started to operate in the field of meat processing and packaging. In a state-of-the-art space at the factory unit in Magoula, Attica, they process meat products targeted at HORECA markets, particularly hotel complexes, as well as mass catering units that need more ready-made solutions. Thus, pieces of beef, pork, chicken and goat meat are prepared in a variety of packages, marinated, ready for cooking or roasting marinated, adapted to the recipes and needs of our customers.
